Art

I love my kids art. I find their work endlessly fascinating and humorous. Now usually it’s just standard heroics and monster fare, but last night Zeke raised the bar. Behold, the “Happy Zebra, pooping”:

He presented it with little fanfare. Just a “Hey Mom, I made a Zebra at Inside Play today. Yeah, it’s pooping.” If you are overwhelmed by the beauty, come on over to our house. It’s proudly displayed on our refrigerator. We have low standards around here. ; )
Boys. What else can I say!? (Still giggling!)
Yeah, I have to agree with NB. I’ve got 3 boys. You know we talk a lot about pooping in our household … and plenty of other bodily functions as well. It’s nice, huh?
While we were carving a pumpkin last night, my little guy turned the word “pulp” into “pumpkin poop”, which turned into a little guy infommercial concerning the benifits of manure on plants growth, which then turned into “Mom, did you ever say the word doo-doo when you were a kid?” Then he just fell over in hysterical fits of laughter thinking about his mom discussing poop. Boys! Gotta love ‘em!
One thing I’ve learned – “Gross” is a boys native language. They are never too ashamed to use it and they speak it fluently. I’m learning to go with it and not say “Ewwwww” quite so often.
Typo – benefits – oops.
Love it! Poop is discussed way to much at my house too. Guess that’s what you get living with 3 boys.
